8 CPS Students Named 2026 National Merit Semifinalists

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) has announced the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program, including eight students from Columbia Public Schools.

2025 MSHSAA Track & Field State Champions

Battle, Hickman, and Rock Bridge high schools each had an incredible showing at the MSHSAA Track & Field State Championship. Each school secured individual state champions.

RBHS Student Named 2025 US Presidential Scholars Semifinalist

A Rock Bridge High School student is a semifinalist in the prestigious and highly competitive U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars selects scholars annually based on their academic success, artistic excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts, evidence of community service, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to high ideals.

CACC FBLA Students Qualify for National Competition

More than 5,200 of Missouri’s brightest future business leaders gathered in Springfield, Mo., for the 2025 Missouri Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference (SLC). Hosted at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, this annual event brought together student leaders, advisers, industry professionals, and volunteers for three days of dynamic learning, competition, and connection.

Columbia Public Schools honors outstanding educators of the year

Seven Columbia Public Schools’ educators have been selected as this year’s Columbia Fund for Academic Excellence honorees. Since its inception in the 1979-80 school year, the Columbia Fund for Academic Excellence has recognized more than 250 educators in the Columbia Public School District for their outstanding teaching, leadership, and student support.
